The shadows are soft and blendable. They do have some fallout, but not too bad. While I like these shadows, I can’t justify buying another neutral palette. I have enough as it is. 0.08 oz, $2.72 value
COOLA Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face 0.17 oz, $3.60 value
I was happy to find a tinted sunscreen in my box this month because I’d like something for when I go to the beach that isn’t much to fuss with as far as makeup goes. I’m not sure why the COOLA Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face even bothers having the word tinted in the name. It looks a little too yellow for my complexion coming out of the tube, but it wasn’t even tinted enough to make my skin look any different. I expected it to at least even out my skin tone a little. That’s what it’s supposed to do, right? It feels light and powdery when it dries, and leaves my skin looking matte all day long even under my foundation. I think it works great as a primer, and it even has a little sunscreen in it to protect your skin from sun damage. Even if it isn’t quite what I was hoping for, it’s still a great find. 0.17 oz, $3.60 value
suki exfoliate foaming cleanser 0.2 oz, $1.65 value
The suki exfoliate foaming cleanser smells like lemony sugar. It exfoliates nicely without letting you overdo it because the crystals dissolve quickly. It’s not foaming at all, and I also feel like it leaves a weird film on my skin, but it cleanses pretty well. 0.2 oz, $1.65 value
Perlier Body Cream 1 oz, $4.25 value
The Perlier Body Cream smells exactly like it’s supposed to-sweet almond milk. I love the scent and it’s not greasy at all. It will be great to keep in my purse. 1 oz, $4.25 value
Folle de Joie eau de parfum 0.06 oz, $1.73 value
The Folle de Joie eau de parfum is probably the most intoxicating scent I’ve smelled in a long, long time. Description: “The perfume opens with a burst of freshness from an intimate blend of calming citrus and a light woodsy floral, giving away to playful hints of cognac. Its middle notes—jasmine and Damascenia rose—give the fragrance a carefree, summery vibe. Finally, warm base notes of spicy woods and rich leather add a seductive finish.” It reminds me of Gap’s Heaven perfume with a splash of apple juice. It lasts for a very long time and is light enough to wear during the summer. I must have some immediately. 0.06 oz, $1.73 value
Total box value is $13.95. This is the least-valued box I’ve received from Birchbox so far, but there are some great things in it that I am really excited about. Huge win for me!
